Calculation Methodology
DateCalc.org publishes deterministic calculators: the same inputs and assumptions produce the same result. Calculations run in your browser or are precomputed when a page is generated.
Dates and durations
Duration pages treat a day as 24 hours unless a tool explicitly describes calendar-day behavior. Browser-based results use the visitor’s local clock and time zone. Daylight-saving changes can therefore make elapsed hours differ from a count of civil calendar dates.
Calendars and holidays
Calendar grids use the Gregorian calendar. Holiday labels cover U.S. federal holidays and their standard observed dates. State, local, religious, employer, and market closures are not implied. Historical federal holiday rules are applied where the generator has a rule for the relevant year.
Pay conversions
The default annual conversion uses 40 hours per week × 52 weeks = 2,080 hours. Results are gross pay before taxes and deductions. Alternative weekly-hour scenarios are shown where available.
Rounding and verification
Pages state their formulas and limitations. Displayed money is usually rounded to cents, while calculations use the unrounded value. For payroll, legal deadlines, medication, construction, or financial decisions, verify results with the responsible professional or official source.
