How the Concrete Cost calculator works

Formula. Cubic yards = (length in feet × width in feet × depth in feet) / 27, with depth converted from inches by dividing by 12. Cost = cubic yards × price per yard.

Example. A 10 by 10 foot slab at 4 inches deep is (10 × 10 × 4/12) / 27 = 1.23 cubic yards. At $120 per yard the cost is 1.23 × 120 = $148.15.

Limitation. The volume is a rectangular prism. It does not add waste, forms, or rebar.
