How the Dosage Calculation calculator works

Formula. Volume to administer = (ordered dose / available dose) × available volume.

Example. An order for 250 mg when 500 mg is available in 10 ml is (250 / 500) × 10 = 0.5 × 10 = 5.00 ml.

Limitation. The page multiplies the ratio and does not check whether the dose, concentration, or route is safe.
