How the GPA calculator works

Formula. GPA = sum of (grade points × credits) / sum of credits, on the 4.0 scale options in the form (A = 4.0, A− = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, and so on down to F = 0).

Example. An A (4.0) worth 3 credits and a B (3.0) worth 3 credits is (4.0 × 3) + (3.0 × 3) = 21 grade points over 6 credits, so the GPA is 21 / 6 = 3.50.

Limitation. Only the grade values listed in the form are available, and courses with 0 credits are ignored because they do not change the credit total.
