How the Tree Removal Cost Calculator works

Formula. Estimated cost = 300 + (height in feet × 8) + (trunk diameter in inches × 5).

Example. A 40 foot tree with a 20 inch trunk is 300 + (40 × 8) + (20 × 5) = 300 + 320 + 100 = $720.

Limitation. The $300 base and the per-foot and per-inch rates are fixed constants in the script, not a quote from a tree service.
